It has been brought to our attention there is a new scam which impersonates government officials sending a text message requiring your help. An example of the text message reads:
“[name], do you have a moment? I have a request I need you to handle discreetly. I am going into a meeting in a few and can’t take calls right now, so just reply over text. Best Regards, Frank Frassetto, Chairperson TOWN OF BLACK WOLF”
Please be advised that our Town Chairman, Frank Frassetto, and other officials will not approach you on behalf of the Town to handle a matter discreetly. Please delete and report these texts as junk.
